The countdown has begun in earnest to next month's PartyBets.com Grand Slam of Darts at the Wolverhampton Civic.
The £300,000 tournament will see 32 of the world's best darts players, led by Phil "The Power" Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld, visit Wolverhampton for a major tournament involving winners of competitions around the world over the past two years.
The list of competitors includes players from the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) and rival World Darts Federation/British Darts Organisation bodies battling for the first time in the UK for 15 years in the groundbreaking event, which will be screened live on ITV.
Taylor and Barneveld will be joined by such stars as PDC world number three James Wade, who won the World Matchplay in Blackpool this summer, Scotland's Gary Anderson - the winner of two major tournaments in Holland already this year - and Dutch sensations Jelle Klaasen and Michael van Gerwen.
They will be joined by international stars Glenn Power, Charles Losper and Gary Mawson - currently the top players in Australia, South Africa and America respectively - as well as Chris Mason and Kevin McDine, who came through the ITV Wildcard Qualifier in Wolverhampton last month.
The 32-man field will be completed following the SkyBet World Grand Prix, which is currently taking place in Dublin and offers places for the winner and runner-up, should they not have already qualified.
Tickets are still available for all sessions of the Grand Slam of Darts.
The tournament begins on Saturday 17 November with play in both the afternoon and evening as the round-robin first round gets underway.
The eight groups of four players continue to battle in best of nine leg games on Sunday afternoon and evening before the first round concludes on Monday and Tuesday evening.
The second round will be played on Wednesday and Thursday evening in knockout format over the best of 19 legs.
The quarter-finals will be played on Friday night, 23rd November, over the best of 19 legs, with the two best of 25 leg semi-finals being played on Saturday afternoon.
The final, over the best of 35 legs, will take place in the afternoon of Sunday 25 November.
Ticket prices range from £10 to £35 and tickets are on sale from the Midlands Box Office on 0870 320 7000 or via www.wolvescivic.co.uk.
