I failed to make the squad for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Newcastle, but watching from the sidelines it's clear it wasn't a classic.
It was definitely a game where the two defences were on top and while neither Phil Brown or Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear would have wanted a replay, both will be happy that they are still in the Cup.
Our boss made a number of changes to the side and gave some fringe players a chance to impress, but sadly I wasn't one of them.
It's fair to say I'm getting very frustrated and I have no idea what is happening with my situation as the manager hasn't spoken to me for three weeks. I'm not saying that to try and grab a headline, he's got other priorities like trying to run a football club, but simply to show how uncertain things are for me.
As ever I'm training hard, biting my lip and getting on with things. I've said it so many times over the season but I just have to be ready if I'm called upon.
I know Hull have already been linked with a number of strikers in the transfer window which would obviously put my future here further in doubt, but I've heard nothing from the club or my agents about anyone making an offer for me. Watch this space, as they say.
Finally, I'd like to use this blog to apologise to the staff of Winterton Rangers for any distress I may have caused following an interview I did with a national paper.
As a Hull lad and having come up through the non-league, there was no way I'd ever insult anyone connected with the club and I fully appreciate all the work they do.
