Leeds boss Gary McAllister refused to use the dreadful conditions at Bridge Road as an excuse for his side's embarrassing FA Cup exit to Histon.
Matt Langstons, a postman by trade, headed the only goal of the game in the 39th minute to send Leeds crashing to their first ever defeat to a non-league team.
"The facts are that they are through and we are out and we've got to take that on the chin and have a positive response," McAllister said.
"Football is a cruel game at times and after the second-half performance I dont think we deserve to be out, but we didn't show enough quality throughout the match."
"I couldn't fault the effort of the players on a difficult pitch but we were sloppy and paid the price.
"I hope this will hurt the players because my stomach is churning and hurting at the moment.
"Its never nice going out of the cup but I wish Histon all of the best in the next round."
