Eastbourne and Barrow will meet for an FA Cup first-round replay after playing out a goalless draw at Priory Lane.
Barrow will be pleased but the scoreline did not reflect the nature of the tie as both sides spurned good first half opportunities.
In the second minute Eastbourne's Andy Atkins was denied by Barrow goalkeeper Alan Martin and then hit the crossbar from the resulting corner.
Team-mate Jay Lovett tested the crossbar again with a fizzing effort from all of 30 yards.
Barrow started to make inroads themselves as Mark Boyd had a big penalty appeal turned away by the referee.
Richard Brody went clean through in the 34th minute and after his shot was blocked by Lee Hook, he set up David Brown who somehow contrived to shoot wide with the goalkeeper stranded.
Barrow looked more likely to score after the interval but despite much possession failed to break Eastbourne down. The visitors came closest when Brody glanced a header over via the top of the bar.
Their Conference rivals pushed for a winner in the late stages of the game. Matt Crabb went close with a deflected effort and Nathan Crabb curled just wide.
