A Second-half goal from Kaid Mohamed was enough to send Forest Green in to the second round of the FA Cup following their 1-0 victory over dominant Blue Square South side Team Bath.
The Students controlled the early exchanges against their Conference guests and had the ball in the net on 11 minutes but striker Josh Llewellyn was deemed to be offside following Marc Canham's free kick.
Forest Green keeper Terry Burton then had to be at his best to deny the home side going ahead saving well at the feet of Steve Abbott.
Captain Garry Warren and Canham both had further chances for Team Bath but could not test Burton as the hosts continued to press.
Team Bath continued to dominate the aerial battle after the break and missed another good chance on 72 minutes when Llewellyn headed Mike Perrott's cross wide of the far post.
Jonathan Smith was then inches away from giving Forest Green the lead on 74 minutes but his headed from Simon Clist's corner smashed against the bar.
The deadlock was broken a minute later as Andrew Mangan profited from a Warren slip and presented Kaid Mohamed with a simple finish from close range for the striker's third FA Cup goal this term.
Burton then made a superb diving save to deny Llewellyn from close range as the striker did his best to salvage a replay for Team Bath.
