The managers of Luton and Bournemouth had no complaints after their big League Two basement battle was called off by referee Gavin Ward after just six minutes due to adverse weather.
The game kicked off in blizzard conditions at Kenilworth Road but the players were soon ordered to leave the field with the game scoreless and the pitch unplayable.
Hatters boss Mick Harford said: "I think it was the right decision. The players from both teams were complaining about the run of the ball before the game even kicked off.
"It was getting dangerous for the players and was only going to get worse. Maybe it shouldn't have even been started.
"I feel for the supporters who came out in their numbers and for the Bournemouth supporters who made the long journey up.
"But it wouldn't have been a proper game of football and there was too much importance on the game to turn it into a lottery."
Cherries boss Jimmy Quinn said: "It wasn't right for the players, it was dangerous and the ball wasn't travelling on the pitch.
"I can understand the fans not being happy because it would have been a game with a lot of mistakes.
"The decision was the referee's. He asked me before the game whether we should give it a go and I said 'you're asking the wrong person because I've played on plenty of pitches worse than that with no grass'.
"He made the decision and fair enough. It was a big game for both teams and would have been a lottery with players not sure if the ball was going to roll."
