Bury ended their three-game losing streak by returning to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at faltering Notts County.
Centre-back Ryan Cresswell rose highest at the far post to convert Michael Jones' free-kick and score his first goal for the club - and second of his career - 11 minutes from time.
It was just rewards for the Shakers who had seen chance after chance go begging.
Jones, after wasting a one-on-one with County goalkeeper Russell Hoult early on, smashed the foot of the post 15 minutes later.
Great chances also fell to Andy Morrell and Elliott Bennett before County registered a shot on target with Myles Weston twice spurning good opportunities.
County's Richard Butcher saw a low shot test Bury's Wayne Brown and Weston grazed the post in the closing stages but it wasn't enough to stop the hosts from stretching their winless streak to seven games.
