Wycombe v Macclesfield (abandoned due to snow)

Published: Tuesday, 28 October 2008, 12:00AM

Wycombe missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of League Two after their match against Macclesfield was abandoned because of snow after 22 minutes at Adams Park.

Referee Graham Horwood took the decision to call the game off shortly after consulting with Wycombe boss Peter Taylor and Macclesfield counterpart Keith Alexander as the ball became unplayable.

The hosts had looked the livelier and Franck Moussa warmed Jon Brain's hands with a rasping drive from 25 yards in the seventh minute.

And the former Newcastle stopper was called into action again 10 minutes later as Matt Harrold fired towards the bottom corner from Lewis Hunt's cross before the game was prematurely ended.
