Bolton's new loan signing Sebastien Puygrenier will go straight into the squad for Saturday's match at home to Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United after receiving international clearance.
A deal for the 26-year-old Zenit St Petersburg defender was done last week but there was not time to complete the necessary paperwork for him to be included against Arsenal.
Manager Gary Megson is delighted the Frenchman is now available.
"We were made aware of the possibility that Zenit might be letting him go so we felt that if we could do a deal then it would be a really good signing for us," he said.
"He's played against a lot of the big clubs, he's got a good bit of pace and he knows the game.
"We are looking forward to seeing whether he can defend in the most difficult league in the world.
"His attitude is fantastic and everybody has been really impressed with him since he has been here."
