Austin has certainly got his hands full with Witney Angels RFC, the ladies team that pride themselves on playing hard and partying hard. Unfortunately, the latter part means they are struggling badly in the Midlands 1 division.

They have managed to pick up two wins but seven defeats, and a minus points of difference of 182, means that they need to start clicking fast.

Thankfully for Austin, this fantastic bunch of characters are keen to learn and make proper use of the facilities and clubhouse that they call home in their oval ball-loving community.

Coach Andrew Goslin claims that shepherding the team through the week is a "character-building exercise” and he needs to give the Angel’s backs the spark they need to get out of trouble.

With Captain BOB (Big Old Bird), pack titan Elaine, beer-downing supremo Bluebells and Debbie, the oldest player in the RFU at 60 years old, to call on there are the foundations of a clinical unit.

Whether Austin can have any impact, alongside the much needed improvements to their training equipment and travel expenses, is another thing but boy is he going to try!
