It's not a bad feeling being top of the Guinness Premiership after Wednesday night's win against Worcester - but as Dean Richards said straight after the game, Harlequins being top at this stage of the season means nothing.
And although the 60-14 scoreline would suggest an easy night for us at The Stoop against the Warriors, nothing could be further from the truth.
It was great for us to get the ten tries, get the bonus point and beat them by enough points to take us above Leicester and to the top of the table. That showed in the way we approached the game, and we had to stick at them.
We had to be on our toes and keep the pressure on Worcester - but we thought they might tire a bit in the latter stages and we could run in a few tries, and that's how it turned out.
One thing is for sure - we haven't heard the last of the 12-minute hat-trick from our No 8 Nick Easter! We were analysing the video yesterday and he piped up about it, fairly predictably.
But on a serious note, having guys like him, David Strettle and Andy Gomersall coming off the bench just shows what strength in depth we've got at Harlequins now.
That's why everybody in the Quins squad has got a massive part to play in the rest of the season and it will be a real 35-man effort. We're all pulling in the same direction.
Hopefully with the weather getting better it will benefit us. Not just in the backs - we've got plenty of forwards who like getting their hands on the ball and that showed on Wednesday night.
On Saturday we face Bath, and that will be a very demanding game, particularly with such a quick turnaround after the last match. We didn't train yesterday - we just reviewed the Worcester game and and also had a look at Bath and some of their players on video.
Today we'll have a short training session and then head off down to the West country in the afternoon. Not much time to get any training done, but it's right to rest up and get ourselves ready.
The next couple of weeks are perhaps the biggest in some of our club careers. Leinster are due at the Stoop in the Heineken Cup on Sunday week and that will be an absolutely massive game - but now it's all about Bath and making sure we keep up the momentum in the Guinness Premiership!
Cheers, DC
