Britain's Got Talent application
AUDITION APPLICATION INFORMATION
1. This is an application for the competition included as part of the television entertainment game show entitled “Britain's Got Talent” (Series 4) (the "Programme") which FremantleMedia Limited and Simco Limited (the “Producers”) proposes but does not undertake to produce for ITV. The information given by you in your application may be used in the Programme should you be selected.
2. You acknowledge and agree to abide by the rules regulations terms and conditions for this competition as determined by the Producers (the "Rules") and that the Rules may be changed (including without limitation verbally) at any time by the Producers and that you will be bound by such Rules. The Producers’ decisions shall be final.
3. You may call the Programme audition application line on the PRTS number 09018 80 10 10 and listen to instructions to leave your name, address, telephone number and type of act, and select your preferred city for auditioning from the options given. The Producers cannot guarantee that you will be offered an audition in the city you have selected.
4. Each PRTS phone call costs 25p per minute plus an 8p connection charge from a BT landline. Call costs from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more. The recorded message along with the time available to you to leave your message lasts no longer than two (2) minutes. The total cost will be dependent on your network. Please ask permission from the bill payer before calling and please dial carefully. There will be no refunds for the cost of any calls made, or for any misdialled calls.
5. Alternatively, you may go to the website at www.itv.com/talentand follow the instructions there to apply to be on the Programme.
6. You may apply as many times as you like from anywhere in the United Kingdom, but each applicant/act may only be offered one opportunity to audition.
7. The Producers, their agents and sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any messages not being properly received, heard or recorded.
8. The Producers, their agents and sub-contractors cannot promise that the application line will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The application line may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond their reasonable control. The Producers will not be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the application line being discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
9. Applicants will be selected at the sole discretion of the Producers whose decision will be final. The Producers do not guarantee that all applicants will be contacted.
10. If you are under 18 years old you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian at the audition.
11. You must be resident in the UK or Republic of Ireland with a valid passport. You will provide the Producers with documentation in order to substantiate your age (i.e. birth certificate and/or valid passport).
12. All personal details and/or information given in your application either in this form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.
13. The Producers reserve the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms hereof.
14. You will not, without the Producers’ prior written consent, publicise or discuss with any third party any information relating to the Programme, your appearance, the production team or any participants in the Programme nor any other information which may come to your attention including without limitation in relation to the broadcaster, the Producers or otherwise save where such information is already public knowledge.
15. You must disclose to the Producers details of any/all criminal/civil actions pending against you currently and/or served against you and/or any unspent convictions.
16. You must ensure that you have obtained all necessary and proper immunisations for any animals involved in your act and will provide to the Producers all documentation or do any other acts as may be reasonably necessary for the Producers to determine the animal is safe to participate in the Programme.
17. You must notify the Producers, in advance, if you intend to:
- perform physical and/or dangerous stunts, explaining the full nature of the stunt;
- use any form of equipment required as part of your act. You will be responsible for bringing such equipment (provided it is suitable for the audition location) and are responsible for ensuring that such equipment is safe and/or suitable for its purposes. Pyrotechnics are not permitted.
