1. Application line:
You may call the Dickinson’s Real Deal (the ‘programme’) application line on the national rate number 0117 970 7618 to leave a message with your name, address and daytime phone number so you can be called back if you wish to participate in the programme. Please note it is not possible to apply to participate in the programme via SMS, the internet, red button or via email.
Please note that to participate in the programme you must be a UK resident, aged 18 years old or over. If you are under age 18 you must seek parental/guardian permission before calling the application line. If you are invited to participate in the programme and you are under 18 you must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or over.
The closing date for receipt of applications to participate in the programme is Friday, 14 August 2009 at midday.
Calls charged at the national rate based on using a BT landline. Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more.The recorded message and the available time to leave your message should last no longer than one (1) minute. The total cost will be dependent on your network operator. Please ask permission from the bill payer before calling and please dial carefully. There will be no refunds for the cost of any calls made, or for any misdialled calls.
You may call the national rate number as many times as you like. The national rate number can be dialled from anywhere in the United Kingdom.
We cannot acknowledge receipt of applications.
You are required to provide complete, valid, correct and up-to-date information in your application. Failure to do so will render your application invalid.
Applications made after the closing date and time for receipt of applications, or which are incorrect, false, misleading, incomplete, incomprehensible, or not received are void and will not be considered. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to invalidate any application received. We cannot accept responsibility for any applications which are not received by the closing date and time.
Any information and data which is provided by you when you apply to participate in the programme will be held and used by us and our sub-contractors in order to administer your application in accordance with our privacy policy at www.itv.com/privacy
Applying to participate in the programme signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Selection process:
ITV and/or the producer of the programme reserve the right to contact any applicant on the phone number as indicated in their application telephone message, to participate in a future episode of the programme. There is no guarantee that all applicants will be considered and/or contacted. If an applicant cannot be contacted, or is not eligible and/or does not comply with any of these terms and conditions, then ITV and/or the producer of the programme reserves the right to select the next eligible applicant.
ITV does not represent, undertake or warrant that it will broadcast any future episode of the programme which may or may not include an applicant’s participation.
Successful applicants will be contacted by Friday, 14 August 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they are available to attend the specified location at the times as specified to participate in the programme. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make their own way to the specified location, unless otherwise stated.
If selected to participate in the programme, you agree to be available to attend at an address to be provided, and to appear on the programme on the agreed date and time in our discretion. You may be required to bring proof of age and eligibility. It is the responsibility of an applicant to comply with any directions and/or instructions given to them, including, without limitation, in regard to conformity with the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, health and safety instructions and all relevant laws, rules and regulations. Failure to provide valid and current proof of age and/or eligibility or to comply with any directions or regulations will result in that applicant no longer being permitted to participate further in the programme.
Selected applicants must agree to be filmed for the programme and may be required to sign a release form. Failure to agree to being filmed as specified will result in that applicant not being able to participate further and forfeiture of all rights as a participant in the programme. The decision of ITV and/or the producer of the programme is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Neither ITV nor the producer of the programme is not liable to refund any costs or expenses incurred in applying to participate in the programme, or in participating in the programme, including but not limited to the cost of any calls made, internet access fees, travelling expenses, transportation, accommodation, meals, drinks, insurance, taxes and costs unless otherwise provided for.
3. General rules:
The producer of the programme and their sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, software provider or otherwise which may result in any applications not being properly received or recorded.
We cannot promise that the system and/or service will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The system and/or service may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our reasonable control. We will not be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the system and/or service is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
4. Queries/Complaints:
If you have a query about your call, you may register your query with the ITV duty office who can be contacted by phone on 0844 88 14150or by email at dutyoffice@itv.com. You will need to provide the following information:
a) Your Name
b) The telephone number of the phone you called from
c) The time(s) you called when you experienced problems
d) If possible, your telephone network operator, e.g. BT, Virgin Media, etc
e) Confirmation of the number that you have been dialling
f) The nature of your query, or the problem you have experienced when calling
g) A contact telephone number you can be reached on if necessary.
