Alan Titchmarsh is one of the nation's favourite gardening experts  as well as a successful broadcaster and novelist.

He is an on screen regular, hosting the ITV1 show Love Your Garden, showing how to recreate some of Britian's most beautiful gardens with minimum fuss.

When he's not outdoors, Alan can be found interviewing the great and good of the showbiz world in The Alan Titchmarsh Show.  

Alan has presented Points of View, Pebble Mill, Songs of Praise and Titchmarsh's Travels . In May 2010 Alan was given the privilege of interviewing The Duke of Edinburgh ahead of his 90th birthday.

An accomplished writer, Alan has written several novels including Only Dad and Mr Macgregor, as well as his memoirs Trowel and Error and Nobbut A Lad. Alan has also completed nearly 40 gardening books and has twice been named Gardening Writer of the Year.

He was appointed an MBE for his services to horticulture and broadcasting in the 2000 New Year Honours list.

He lives in Hampshire with his wife and family.
