ITV Studio France’s first documentary pitch session27/06/2011

Over the past month we invited young writers and teams to submit their documentary ideas for ITV Studios France's first documentary pitch session. The aim is to discover and grow new talent and put our weight behind new projects and make them happen.

We received over 60 diverse projects - including sport, politics, war, nature, lifestyle and society - which we whittled down to a short list of 13 projects. We also redirected some projects looking for distributors to ITV Global, positioning the French office as a real international platform.

Strong ideas to follow up
We then had an intense day of projects being pitched every 20 minutes. At the end of the day we were thrilled to have seven strong ideas that we'll be following up on, with two being particularly outstanding.

These ideas will hopefully turn into shows and formats that we could even sell internationally as part of our Transformation. We'll update you with how these ideas are being developed and progressed right here
