Care Homes Threat

A mother says she's devastated after being told the day-centre her daughter attends could close, because her local council is trying to save eight million pounds from its annual budget.

Dumfries and Galloway council is planning to shut down four out of six, activity and resource

centres, which look after adults with learning difficulties

If the cuts at the centres go ahead it would help save nearly one and a half million pounds - but as Matt Taylor reports, the families and staff who could be affected are deeply upset by the news.
