Drivers penalised after race one

Fabrizio Giovanardi is racing under appeal in the second race at Croft today. The stewards penalised him for contact with Aron Smith, and he would have been sent to the back of the grid due to it being his third penalty of the season.

However the team appealed and the Italian will start from 12th.

Andrew Jordan was also penalised for an incident with Matt Neal. They swap positions on the grid for round 14.

Austin and Giovanardi clash in practice

Rob Austin and Fabrizio Giovanardi were 23rd and 27th fastest respectively in Croft's first practice session this morning, and completed only 13 laps between them.

Austin's Twitter account explains why.

Giovanardi has round 9 pole

Airwaves Racing's Fabrizio Giovanardi will start today's final race from Thruxton from pole position after drawing ball ten in the reverse grid draw.

The Italian will start alongside Jack Goff, with Adam Morgan and Jason Plato on the second row.

Colin Turkington and Mat Jackson will be starting from row three.
