Leaner, meaner Neal gets ready for new season

BTCC 2011 Champion and Honda Racing Team driver Matt Neal looks ahead to the 2012 BTCC season in an exclusive interview for ITV Sport.

The three-time BTCC Champion says he's feeling "a little more relaxed as there is nothing to prove" ahead of this season, "but that doesn't mean that I'm not hungry."

"I'm very excited to get in the car and I think we've got a really, really good package this year and that's an incredible boost for a driver to go in to a season," Neal added.

"I've been training hard every day in the off-season. I'm trying to be leaner, meaner, more lightweight and just try and give the team a good driver package when we get to the start of the season."
