Jason Plato: The usual suspects will contest 2013 title battle

Jason Plato says we should expect 'fireworks' from him ahead of the start of the 2013 season, as he anticipates a hugely competitive race for the championship.

Speaking exclusively to ITV, the two-time BTCC champion said: "Honda will have improved over the summer, we've also got the Ford Focuses with Motorbase and a whole host of other cars."

And Plato, driving again this year for MG KX Momentum Racing, added: "It's going to be competitive but I'd be surprised if it's not the usual suspects knocking lumps out of each other on race day."

The 2013 season kicks off live and exclusive on ITV on 30/31 March at Donington Park.
