British Soap Awards 2014

Coronation Street brought home a phenomenal nine awards, including Best Actress and Best Actor for Julie Hesmondhalgh and David Neilson in the British Soap Awards.

Julie and David continued their winning streak by receiving the Best On-Screen Partnership Award, for their portrayal of Roy and Hayley, with David also collecting the award for Best Dramatic Performance.

Hayley's death won the accolade for Best Single Episode, whist Best Storyline went to the Hayley's cancer storyline.

Simon Gregson collected The Best Comedy Performance prize for his stand-out portrayal of Steve McDonald.

For the sixth year running, the brilliant Michelle Keegan won the Sexiest Female Award.

And, the Outstanding Achievement was presented to Helen Worth for her amazing performance of Gail McIntyre for 40 years.

A huge thank-you must go out to everyone that took the time to vote in the awards this year, we really appreciate it!

Coronation Street wins Best Soap at the Broadcast Award

Coronation Street won Best Soap/Continuing Drama at the Broadcast Awards 2014, held last night in London.

It's the third consecutive year that Coronation Street has won the award, as nominated by a panel of judges to reward excellence in television.
