Kissing Gail's golden boy

So! Much has happened since my last blog! Rapes, lies, trials, theft, weddings, affairs and of course – our wonderful Becky found happiness and left Weatherfield. You fill in the gaps. Lets get to the most interesting bit – Nick Tilsley! Nick and Eva eh? Or ‘Neva’ as we are referred to by our lovely Twitter community. I think they make a cracking couple and I’m enjoying playing a dominant girlfriend. All is going swimmingly at present…but I think we all know that nothing is ever a smooth ride over them cobbles! What interests me is that this time, Gail has met her match. Eva is determined to stick this one out and has genuinely fallen for the Street's best catch. Things aren’t too smooth at home either with Karl’s antics. You’d think he would know better when surrounded by such powerful, strong women as Stella and Eva. Heads will roll – I have no doubt!

The question I am asked most at present is of course – what’s it like kissing Ben Price?
Well, when we are not in fits of giggles, I think ‘Neva’ look like a pretty smitten couple – I hope they do anyway! Ben is an absolute joy to work with. I am very comfortable around him and he never fails to make me smile. So kissing scenes don’t feel awkward – which makes the job SO much easier. Helen Worth (aka Corrie legend Gail) is also a dream to work with and I love the catty lines that are exchanged between her and Eva on a day-to-day basis. Will anyone EVER be good enough for her Nick? Eva thinks she is. In fact, Eva thinks she’s better than the lot of them. Hold on to your tabard Gail!

We were all very sad to say goodbye to Katherine Kelly last month. Kate has been like a sister to me for many years. I’ll miss her and I’ll miss Becky. I’m so proud of what Kate has achieved with Becky, she has certainly made her mark. Becky has to be one of my all time favourite Corrie characters. Which brings me to this next bit: NTA AWARDS!!!! (She throws her hands in the air while grinning like a Lancashire Cat!)

Yes our lovely Kate finally won Best Serial Drama Performance and Coronation Street won Best Serial Drama!!! Wahoo!! It was my first year at the NTAs so for one of my dearest friends to win AND Corrie – I was simply thrilled. We all were. Thank you so much from all of us, to everyone who voted. Our wonderful producers, cast and crew are fantastic and without sounding too biased – about blimin time! As a huge Corrie fan – it was loooong over due! There’s lots coming up for Eva and the Price family – stay tuned. As always – you wont be disappointed!
