The countdown to the carnage on the cobbles has started and I have the best ticket for you to ride in town right here on ITV.com.
But worry not, with Weatherfield approaching its darkest hour there is no danger of us being derailed in my coverage of the 50th anniversary of the nation's favourite drama. Fifty years on, the residents of Coronation Street are going for TV Gold with a week of mayhem that will change the lives of everyone forever so who better to visit them in their hour of need (apart from a raft of emergency services of course) than my good self!
Join me in the coming week as I pop up to Manchester for a chat with the man who has wrought havoc on the Street, shredding lives and leaving relationships in tatters. I'll be ever present, too, during the live episode next Thursday 9th December watching from just yards away as the drama unfolds minute by minute under the watchful eye of millions of TV fans during the most highly anticipated telly moment of the year. I'll also be chatting to some of Corrie's biggest names to find out how they are coping with the maelstrom (and possibly without a corner shop!) plus I'll be finding out what YOU think about Corrie coming off the rails.
Frankly, I'm a spent force at the prospect, but with the right hair net and curlers I may just be able to steal my way through the terrible times looming ahead.
I wonder if the same can be said for the residents of Coronation Street?
