  • 16 April 1979: Audrey Potter descended on Weatherfield for a party to celebrate her daughter Gail’s engagement to Brian Tilsley.

  • 1981: Looks after the corner shop for Alf Roberts and starts a hairdressing salon in the back room
  • 1985: Accepts Alf's proposal and they marry at Christmas
  • 1986: Moves into number 11
  • 1988: Declines Malcolm Reid's invitation to leave Alf and go and live in Canada with him

  • Marc and Audrey date, but Audrey worries about his cross-dressing and if she, and her family and friends would cope with it
  • Kylie see Marc out in town as Marcia with Audrey and films them on her phone to blackmail Audrey. The resultant fallout leads to Marc turning up at the Rovers as Marcia and Audrey humiliated. After much soul-searching Audrey ends their relationship
  • Audrey and Kylie later come to some kind of peace, partly for the sake of the Platt family and David
