  First Appearance

  • 15 December 2008: Children’s entertainer Jesse arrived at the Rovers earlier than expected and told Steve McDonald that he could not perform at Amy Barlow’s Christmas party.

  Street History

  • 2008: Cancels his engagement as entertainer at Amy Barlow’s Christmas party as his wife had left him.
  • Recruits Eileen Grimshaw as his last-minute replacement assistant and they get on well.
  • 2009: Pleased to see Eileen when she brings Amy to see his act at the Community Centre. 
  • Starts a relationship with Eileen and moves in with her.
  • Hires Julie Carp (Eileen's half sister) as his assistant but Eileen finds out and puts a stop to it. Julie continues as Jesse's assistant in secret until Eileen discovers them and makes Jesse sack her.
  • 2010:  Jesse strikes it lucky with a win on the horses. But instead of taking Eileen on holiday, he takes his parents. Eileen dumps him.
  • He returns weeks later to beg for Eileen's forgiveness, but when he makes a pass at Julie, the two sisters chase him off for good.
