  • 5 April 1965: Peter and his twin sister Susan were born in Weatherfield General Hospital to new parents Ken and Valerie Barlow.

  • 1968: Becomes trapped inside the factory with sister Susan as demolition commences
  • 1971: Sent to his grandparents’ house in Glasgow following his mother Valerie’s death
  • 1978: Applies to join the Navy
  • 1986: Persuades Ken to support Susan’s marriage to Mike Baldwin

  • 2001: Devastated when Susan dies in a car crash

  • Reconciles with Leanne and gives her another chance - Simon is delighted!
  • Grateful when Stella saves Leanne from a robbery in the bookies, but then discovers that Stella has stolen a picture of Leanne from their flat and challenges her. Stella reveals just to Peter that she is actually Leanne's birth mother
  • At Leanne's 30th birthday party in the Rovers, Eva overhears Stella and Peter talking secretly and assumes they are having an affair. Peter watches as Stella is then forced to confess to Leanne she is her mum, leaving his wife shocked and angry
