  • 19 July 1995: Roy introduced himself to Deirdre Rachid, the new caretaker at the Crimea Street flats where he lived.

  • 1995: Disconcerts Deirdre Rachid by interfering in her business
  • 1997: Becomes Gail Platt’s partner at Jim’s Café and changes the name to Roy’s Rolls
  • 1998: Begins a tentative romance with Hayley Patterson
  • Retreats when Hayley reveals that she is a transsexual
  • Seeks out Hayley in Amsterdam and brings her home
  • 1999: Re-opens Roy’s Rolls on Victoria Street
