Paul Connor gets a shock when he phones for a prostitute and Leanne Battersby turns up - in just one of the featured moments from The Corrie Years, which returns for a second series on Thursdays at 8.30pm from September 6th on ITV1.

The show brings viewers the untold stories behind some of the most unforgettable Coronation Street storylines of the last five decades.

The first episode of the second series looks at some of the scandals the Weatherfield residents have endured – from prostitutes to conmen and from illegitimate children to schoolgirl seductresses.

During this series the soap’s best-loved actors talk to the programme about Coronation Street scandals, feuds, explosive stunts, like the 50th anniversary tram crash and the kids who've grown up on our screens.

Plus the series looks at the special on-location episodes that took the characters away from the street and what happens to the actors after they say goodbye to the Weatherfield cobbles.

Narrated by Katherine Kelly, the series features interviews from a host of stars past and present, including William Roache, Julie Goodyear, Helen Worth and Simon Gregson.
