Chesney faced heartache when his beloved dog Schmeichel was taken ill.
He found it difficult to accept the severity of Schmeichel's condition and his behaviour caused tensions at home.
Schmeichel was originally given to Tyrone. He first came into Chesney's life when Les gave him the puppy after making arrangements with Jack. Since then the pair have had many adventures as they've found their way in life.
Sam Aston, who plays Chesney, also talks about filming Schmeichel's final scenes in a video interview here.
