As Peter prepares to go up the aisle with Carla, we take a look back at his shady marital track record...
Wife No.1: Jessica Midgeley, 1990
Peter married his first wife Jessica while serving in the Royal Navy. But their relationship turned sour when he discovered she'd been having an affair while he was away at sea.
Wife No.2: Lucy Richards, 2003
Returning to Weatherfield in 2000, Peter soon fell head over heels for Rovers' barmaid Shelley Unwin. But the local florist, Lucy Richards, also caught Peter's roving eye...
After their illicit affair was almost exposed, Peter decided to call the whole thing off and asked Shelley to marry him. But when he discovered that Lucy was pregnant with his child, he persuaded her to go up the aisle...
Marital bliss was fleeting for Lucy and Peter though, as after just one day she realised that he was still engaged to an oblivious Shelley...
Wife No.3: Shelley Unwin, 2003 (while still married to Lucy)
After confessing to his affair, but failing to mention that he was in fact married to the other woman, Peter made it up the aisle and entered into a bigamous marriage with Shelley.
But his deceit didn't stay hidden for long, as Lucy exposed his lies to the whole Street, before flying off to Australia with their son Simon.
Wife No.4: Leanne Battersby, 2010
On and off almost as often as the kettle in Roy's Rolls, Peter's relationship with Leanne was blighted by a number of affairs and lies.
Lying that he was away in rehab, Peter spent time frolicking on a yacht with another woman before Leanne uncovered his deception and moved away to Leeds.
Returning to The Street later in 2009, Leanne and Peter rekindled their relationship and decided to get married. With the wedding plans underway, Leanne started an affair with her ex-husband Nick, before marrying Peter in 2010 after he was critically injured in the tram crash.
In 2011, Peter gave in to temptation yet again, this time with the feisty Carla Connor. Initially denying his affair to his wife Leanne, Peter was forced to publicly admit his love for Carla during Frank Foster's rape trial.
As Peter prepares to go up the aisle with wife no.5, will his growing lust for Tina spell yet more marital disaster?
