Ryan's drug habit forces him to plan a robbery at Underworld and flee Weatherfield, after telling Michelle she'd be better off without him.
He pockets her keys to the factory and sneaks in but is caught by Rob, who mistakes him for a burglar and strikes him down.
Taken to hospital, Ryan wants the police called, and with Rob on probation his actions could send him back to prison for GBH.
Sol Heras, who plays Ryan, said: "This is going to cause absolute havoc for everyone involved"
