American author David Baldacci burst on to the literary scene in 1996 with his first novel Absolute Power, it debuted as a New York Times Bestseller and was subsequently turned into a film starring Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman. He has since written a further 21 novels and been published in 80 countries.

Baldacci covers diverse yet contemporary themes such as coming of age, the power of global markets and the hidden perils of clandestine intelligence services. His latest offering One Summer hits UK bookshelves on the 5th August.
