Say hello to your brand new Backstage Reporter

It’s almost time to get back on the ice, but before we do, allow us to introduce our brand-spanking new Backstage Reporter for 2019. Drumroll please… it’s only Kem Cetinay!

He impressed us all with his moves last year (who could forget that Timber routine?!), making it all the way to the semi final with pro partner Alex Murphy. But now he’s swapping his skates for a mic as he takes on a new role behind the scenes, keeping us all updated with what’s happening on and off the rink.

The Love Island 2017 winner will be bringing all the hottest gossip to our social media platforms, YouTube channel, the Dancing on Ice app and website, chatting exclusively with our celebs each week as the competition heats up. And he cannot wait to get started!

"I am so excited to be back with the Dancing on Ice family in the new year as the new backstage reporter,” he said. “I’ll be bringing viewers all of the behind-the-scenes gossip and might have to get my skates back on to see if I can polish off some moves. It’s going to be a incredible series, I’m buzzing to meet all the new couples and get started!"

If that wasn’t already enough, our crew have built a super cool spot especially for his hosting duties this series - get ready for Kem’s Cabin! Our celebs and pros will be able to kick back, relax and take on fun games and challenges with our Backstage Reporter while they take a rest from training in his cosy hideaway.

You’ll also be able to get involved each week as Kem plays ‘I got a text!’, putting the decision of which dare or challenge he should try out behind the scenes in your very own hands. We’re expecting nothing less than complete carnage!

On top of that, he’ll be catching up with our skating couples straight after their performance every Sunday night, sharing their first reaction to their scores and judges feedback exclusively on Instagram Stories.

So make sure you’re following us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook before it all kicks off in January. See you on the ice!
