About Andy Whyment & Vicky Ogden

Andy Whyment

Occupation:Actor
Special Skills:Bringing comedy to the ice

Coronation Street favourite Andy Whyment has been getting quite a lot of stick from his Corrie co-stars.

“All the lads from work have been winding me up saying, 'It's going to be like Bambi on ice'. Then they add, 'When I watch it, I'll be hoping you fall’.” However, cruel jibes aside, Andy is raring to go on the ice.

“I'm looking forward to the whole thing,” says the actor, who plays Kirk Sutherland on the cobbles. “It's made me quite proud of myself. I remember watching the series last year with Steven Arnold and thinking, 'They're all mad!' – and now this year I'm doing it! It’s a whirlwind, every time I get on the ice I still think I'm mad for doing it!”
