Beth Tweddle and Daniel Whiston

Beth Tweddle
Gymnast and London 2012 Olympic Bronze medallist is looking to put her own spin on this series. Beth is looking to use her strength, flexibility and fitness to power her way around the ice. Of course she's in very experienced hands, with two times Dancing on Ice champion Dan Whiston.
She might be very graceful on the asymmetric bars, but you’d be surprised to hear she’s not much of a dancer: “I am rubbish at dancing; there is dancing within gymnastics but that’s not natural dance to me, it’s literally been instructed to me as steps I’ve followed. I really am not a natural dancer."
”I’ve never had the time to do something like this before because I’ve spent so much of my life in training. My first biggest task is breaking away from my natural stance in gymnastics - I was told I needed to change my positioning as it’s totally opposite to what I’ve trained in.’
Daniel Whiston
As an amateur, Daniel competed nationally and internationally and was a UK Gold Medallist and Welsh Champion by the time he turned professional at 19 years old.
As well as teaching in his home town Blackpool, Dan has wowed audiences in shows such as Hot Ice, Grease on Ice, Holiday on Ice and the stunning Jayne Torvill Ice Spectacular at Somerset House, London.
Dan won the first series of Dancing on Ice with actress Gaynor Faye, and partnered actress Emily Symons, Linda Lusardi and Roxanne Pallett before he went on to become Ice Champion again alongside actress Hayley Tamaddon in 2010.
In 2011 Dan danced his way to eighth place with Kerry Katona, before hitting the road with Torvill & Dean for another sensational Dancing On Ice Tour. 2012 saw Dan dazzle audiences with partner Jennifer Ellison.
