Dallas star Charlene Tilton is looking to Jayne Torvill for more than just skating tips. The American actress, who famously played Lucy Ewing in the epic ‘80s US drama, is hoping to leave the series with a toned skater’s bottom like the Olympic legend.

She’s hoping the hours of training for the new series of Dancing On Ice will help her achieve her dream. “My goal is to have Jayne Torvill's butt,” she says. “I’m going to put a picture of her tush on my refrigerator. Skaters have bottoms that are lifted and toned - it's fantastic, they all have it!”

But Charlene admits she will have to be bold if she wants to win the competition. “I do have to toughen up I don't like the cold and I'm a big sissy,” she admits. “I'm not a physical, athletic person at all, so this is really out of my comfort zone.”

Matthew Gonzalez was born in Maryland in 1986. He had always had a passion for figure skating, but as the family lived nowhere near an ice rink, he took up roller skating, and began competing at the age of just eight.

At the age of 12 the family moved to California, and Matthew immediately began pairs skating. He competed regionally, working his way up to national competitions.

At the age of 17 Matthew decided to pursue other ambitions in the world of entertainment, working for Disney Entertainment in California and Japan as a dancer, puppeteer, actor, and acrobat.

In 2007 Matthew resumed his professional skating career and has most recently appeared as Principal Pair in Holiday On Ice’s show Energia. He has also skated in Snoopy’s Cool Christmas On Ice, It’s Christmas Snoopy On Ice, and Snoopy’s Big Bow Wow.

In July 2009 Matthew appeared in Kyran Bracken’s Ice Show, alongside our 2007 Dancing on Ice champion.

Matthew partnered Danniella Westbrook in Series 5, where they reached the semi-finals and came fourth.
