About Jorgie Porter & Matt Evers

Jorgie Porter

Occupation:Actress
Special Skills:Being fearless on the ice

Hollyoaks favourite Jorgie Porter is this year’s celebrity daredevil, as she’s already started learning difficult lifts in training.

Paired with Matt Evers, who was the first to attempt the legendary Headbanger move with partner Bonnie Langford in series one, Jorgie admits she’s not fazed by this iconic skating trick.

“I want to do the Headbanger, I'm not scared,” she declares. “I think there are scarier things than that move.”

Of course, she is still petrified of something going wrong on that rink. “I worry about falling over on the live shows or getting the routine wrong, not being in time with the music or worst still, slapping Matt in the privates with my skates," she gasps. "It can happen!” Oo-er!

Matt Evers

Matt Evers is originally from North Dakota and started skating when he was nine years old. In 1998, Matt and partner Heather Allebach won the United States Junior Pairs Championships with the United States Figure Skating Team, and went on to earn a ranking within the World's top 15.

Matt turned professional in 2000, and as well as skating in a variety of International ice shows and partnering Lara Bingle in the Australian version of Dancing On Ice, he also combines his skating with modelling, acting and presenting work that has seen him appear on TV across the U.S.

Show veteran Matt has wowed the crowds in every UK series of Dancing on Ice. In series one he came third with Bonnie Langford, and went on to win series three with actress Suzanne Shaw.

Matt also partnered Lisa Scott-Lee, Zoe Salmon and Heather Mills before skating to sixth place with Denise Welch in 2011.
