Keith Chegwin and Olga Sharutenko

Returning to the ice after fracturing his shoulder last year, Keith is hoping to show some real skating skill - and prove there’s more to this all-round entertainer than meets the eye.
His long-standing career has made him a household name for nearly 40 years, and has seen him land on the door steps of many unsuspecting members of the public…including Robin Cousins!
Keith was really upset when he had to drop out of last series, and is thrilled to be partnered with Ice Dancer Olga Sharutenko. “I’ve had a whole year of thinking about the show and I am just raring to go.”
He may be a show man but he’s not exactly got the moves. "My wife says I look like a chicken when I dance! In fact when we go to weddings or parties, I’m convinced she avoids dancing with me!"
Keith didn’t exactly get into skating the normal way. "Years ago in my 30s, Phil Collins’ sister actually taught me to skate. And funnily enough, when I worked on The Big Breakfast, I knocked on the door of Robin Cousins and we skated together doing my take on the Bolero."
Olga Sharutenko
Olga began skating at the age of 6 and was Junior World Champion with her partner Dmitri Naumkin.
They were part of the Russian National Figure Skating team and then the Russian Senior National team where they won numerous competitions around the world. They skated together for fifteen years.
Olga has toured the world with the Russian Ice Stars, Imperial Ice Stars and has performed principle roles in tours including the Nutcracker on Ice and Phantom of the Opera on Ice.
She partnered John Barrowman on the first series of Dancing on Ice in 2006 where they were eliminated fourth.
