Robin Cousins

Occupation:Head judge
Special Skills:Free skating champion

Robin won his first national title aged 12 as a novice - and by the age of 14 he was a junior champion poised to make his international debut. He rose to the top after winning Olympic and European gold medals in 1980 and was awarded an MBE by the Queen at Buckingham Palace in the same year.

Since the late 1990s, Robin has starred in, directed and choreographed numerous shows, such as The Wizard of Oz on Ice, Toy Story on Ice, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express. He's also made the successful transfer from sport to stage, playing the Prince in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Munkestrap in Cats and Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show in the West End.

Over several years, Robin has been a regular guest presenter and commentator for BBC TV, for the European and World Figure Skating Championships as well as working on every Winter Olympics since Sarajevo in 1984.

Katarina Witt

Katarina Witt dominated the figure skating world for over a decade, winning a legion of medals and becoming one of the most successful figure skaters of all time. She won Olympic gold in both the 1984 Sarajevo and 1988 Calgary Olympics.

Katarina retains a record of four European Champion, six World Champion and eight National titles.

After retiring from competitive skating she starrred in, created and produced her own succesful skating shows, such as Divas on Ice, Katarina & Friends, Summernight on Ice as well as the German version of Dancing On Ice, which she co-produced and hosted.

She also made the leap into acting - bagging an Emmy for her title role in the 1990 film Carmen on Ice. She has acted alongside Robert DeNiro in the movie Ronin and gave her stage debut in the role of Amour in the Hugo von Hoffmannsthal play, Everyman.

Katarina has worked as a figure skating expert on the World Championships and Olympic Games for American and German TV since 1991. She's also written her biography, given tips and motivation for a healthy lifestyle in a fitness book and packed her years of experience as a young athlete into a book combining fiction and reality, based on her own life story.

Since skating is her true passion she is very excited to be a judge for the very first time on Dancing On Ice.  

“I can’t wait to join the Dancing On Ice judging panel," Katarina tells us. "As well as offering support and constructive advice to this year's celebrity skaters, I’m also looking forward to working alongside my close friends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean."

Louie Spence

Currently the artistic director at Pineapple studios, Louie has worked with some of the world’s biggest stars, including Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams and Mariah Carey, before becoming a household name with the observational series based at internationally renowned Pineapple Dance Studios.

An original member of the award-winning cast of Miss Saigon, Louie earned the coveted title of Primo Ballerino and danced with stars including Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. In 2008 Louie was one of the trio of judges on the successful NBC prime-time show Celebrity Circus and was voted as one of the top ten reality show judges in America.

The acclaimed choreographer will draw on his wealth of experience in dance and choreography for his Dancing On Ice debut, and can't wait to get started on our glittering line-up:

“I’m looking forward to being part of such a challenging and spectacular show and I can’t wait to give my encouragement and critique on the contestants’ dance and performance on the ice,” he says.
