"Gutted" Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere loses out to Sugababe Heidi Range in the first Skate-off of the series.
With all the sequin-clad excitement of the shiny new series, we'd almost forgotten that we'd be losing one of our brand new skating stars.
But when bubbly Blue presenter Andy A and Sugababe Heidi Range found themselves skating for survival, the harsh reality suddenly hit home.
After two contrasting routines - a slow and poised routine from Heidi and an energetic boogie from Andy - it was down to our new Ice Panel to put an end to one celeb's ice journey.
And with just new judge Katarina voting to save them, it was Andy A and Maria who faced the axe - and the devastating journey home.
"I'm gutted, really gutted," the star admitted to Phillip. "We put so much into that..."
"We're gutted with you Andy," Christopher Dean added, as the pair stepped back onto the ice for their final lap of the rink.
But with eight stars still to skate for the first time this series, we have go through this all over again next week.
And it doesn't get any easier, does it?
