Ed Miliband is the third party leader to join us on the Daybreak sofa in the lead up to the local elections on Thursday.
Labour should make gains, winning mostly from the Conservatives but also from the Lib Dems. That said, there has been renewed pressure on Ed Miliband over his lack of policy... He was also attacked last week by the leader of Labour's biggest financial backer, the Unite union. They suggested that Miliband risked being cast into the dustbin of history if he continues to take advice from Blarite members of his Cabinet who say he needs to take a tougher line on welfare.
Also Respect MP George Galloway has accused Labour leader Ed Miliband of lying about a meeting between the two men.
Mr Miliband said he had met the MP to talk about a vote on boundary changes.
But Mr Galloway said this was a lie and called the Labour leader an unprincipled coward with the backbone of an amoeba.
