Last month Sally Roberts visited Daybreak to talk about why she ran away and went into hiding with her seven-year-old son Neon, who was being treated by cancer doctors planning on giving him radiotherapy.

Sally has since faced a huge backlash due to her decision to stop Neon from having the treatment.

Today she joins us again as she launches her appeal to stop her child from having the radiotherapy, which is booked to take place on January 9, and tells us of why she is sticking to her decision.

Sally told Kate that she was worried about the treatment affecting Neon's DNA and impacting his development, IQ and fertility. She said: "It could affect his growth and being fertile. No grandchildren's a big factor."
