Meet mum-trepreneur Lynda Harding

Lynda is mum to six loveable children and lives with her family in Hampshire. She is the inventor of easidream, a new baby sleep aid that is proven to soothe babies to sleep safely and effectively.

The easidream system is unique. A simple but clever device that sits under any cot mattress to mimic the soothing environment of the womb, combined with ewan the dream sheep, a toy with sound and light to calm babies and lull them to sleep.

It's taken 7 years to develop and has undergone extensive operational trials carried out by the medical team at the University of Brighton School of Nursing and Midwifery.

The UoB independently recruited babies to take part in the trials over a two week period, videoing and recording the baby’s responses.

The most impressive result was that average crying time was reduced from 18 minutes to less than 1 minute on easidream and that all babies who took part in the trials remained safely and happily settled on their backs. In some cases the time taken to settle to sleep was often reduced by 90%!

easidream was available for retail from Jan 2010 at www.easidream.com and is now also being retailed by the likes of Mothercare, JoJo Maman Bebe and Boots.

Recently easidream has gone global, with distributors in Europe, The Gulf, New Zealand and Asia, with many others queuing up to take easidream products around the globe.

Combined with inventing baby products that make life easier for parents, Lynda also set up a successful 90 place nursery school in 1990 and more recently, a private children's party hire venue.
