Halifax 0% all-rounder card, 2for1 at 300 gardens incl Kew, £5 off £30 at Boots and more. These are Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis’ Deals of the Week.
Remember, deals can change quickly, even while I’m on the programme. So always double-check the terms and conditions before spending. Plus, while I hope these deals will save you cash, don’t spend if you can’t afford it, don’t need it, or won’t use it.
Web Exclusive: Cineworld 2 tickets for £12
Get two Cineworld cinema tickets for £12 (more in London or for 3D films) from daily deals site LivingSocial, saving about £8. To get the deal, you need to buy a code, and enter it online at Cineworld. Once you’ve done that, there'll be nothing more to pay – so although Cineworld asks for your card details, no money will be taken. You have to buy the code before Monday (29 April), but it’s valid until 13 June.
Low fee balance transfer and 0% spending card
Most special credit card deals either allow you to shift debt from other cards to them at 0%, or to spend at 0%. So to have one that is good for both is a bonus, as it means fewer applications hitting your credit file, thus protecting your credit score.
Accepted new Halifax All-In-One cardholders can shift debt to it at 15mths, with the market’s lowest fee of 1%. It’s also 15 months 0% on new spending too – a big boon.
Yet unusually and unfortunately, it's a 'representative 0% rate', so only 51% of accepted applicants must get the full 15 months, the rest can get less, So only apply if you’ve a top credit rating.
Alternatively, Barclaycard is 14 months 0% on both with a 2.9% balance transfer fee, and Sainsbury is 7.8% on both, fee-free.
Remember these golden rules: 1) Always minimise new borrowing, budget, and plan to repay before 0% ends. 2) With 0% cards, clear or shift again before 0% ends or you pay full APR. 3) Pay at least the monthly minimum or you'll lose special rates.
2for1s to 300 gardens for a year, including Kew

You can use it as many times as you like, meaning in the unlikely event you visited every garden included in the promotion, you'd save £1,830! For example, use the card to get 2for1 at the Eden Project, saving £23.50 (the cost of an adult ticket on the day).

- £25 family Portsmouth - Isle of Wight hovercraft day return
