Former EastEnders and I'm a Celebrity star Dean Gaffney is lucky to be alive after a horrific car crash left him needing reconstructive surgery on his skull.
As he comes out of recovery, the actor opens up to Daybreak about the incident - which saw his girlfriend waiting for hours to find out whether he was dead or alive - in an exclusive interview.
In it he admits to his grave mistake of not wearing a seatbelt and promises that now he always will.
He says: "I know I'm a naughty boy and it takes something like this – I always learn the hard way in my life."
