Downton Abbey has triumphed again, winning the accolade for Best Television Mini-series at the Golden Globes.

Writer Julian Fellowes, executive producer Gareth Neame and stars Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern, who were both nominated for their roles in the show, were at the 69th annual awards ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Accepting the show's latest award, Julian said: "How fabulous this is. The whole Downton adventure has been an extraordinary one. Like spotting a promising child and waking up to find they’ve have won the Olympics - and that's what we've lived through."

The Downton mantelpiece is filling up quickly following the success of the past two years including wins at The BAFTA Craft awards and the Emmys.
