New recruit for Midsomer Murders

DCI John Barnaby will have a new sergeant at his side for the forthcoming series of Midsomer Murders which starts filming this week.

Neil Dudgeon (DCI Barnaby) returns to film another six feature length episodes of the hugely popular ITV crime drama and this time DS Jamie Winter, played by newcomer Nick Hendrix (Marcella, The Crown), will be beside him upholding the law in Midsomer county.

Also returning for the 19th series are Manjinder Virk as pathologist Dr Kam Karimore and Fiona Dolman as Sarah Barnaby.

Storylines for the new series (which will air on ITV in 2017) include a deserted village full of secrets, an extreme Neighbourhood Watch, a cricket festival and a rabbit and guinea pig show...

Brand New Drama, The Secret, starts Friday 29 April on ITV

James Nesbitt plays Colin Howell, a respectable dentist and pillar of the community, who became a killer in partnership with a Sunday school teacher, Hazel Buchanan (Genevieve O'Reilly). Howell and Buchanan met at their local Baptist Church in Coleraine, Northern Ireland and they embarked upon a passionate and destructive affair, which climaxed in an elaborate plot to kill both their partners.

ITV is holding a series of exclusive themed screenings to celebrate the launch of our brand new drama series, The Durrells, which is based on the life of Gerald Durrell and his family and their adventures in Corfu.

Join us for the afternoon and take part in lots of exciting, nature inspired activities including scavenger hunts, tortoise racing, pond dipping, face painting and honey tasting (to name a few), and to enjoy some delicious Greek food.

There will also be a wildlife expert at every screening to explain how Gerald Durrell’s conservation work lives on at his foundation, and of course a sneak peak at the first episode of the new drama, The Durrells, starring Keeley Hawes, and lots of furry and feathered friends besides.
