Series Two Premiere Party

After the first season took the world by storm with its glitz, glamour and habitual back stabbing, the cast got together to celebrate the launch of the second series in New York.

Showbiz stars Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) looked simply stunning in their different takes on the red carpet fashion code as they cosied up for the frenzied Big Apple paparazzi.

Penn Badgley went for the chiselled moody look at the fancy Stateside soiree as his character Dan Humphrey gears up for more romantic rollercoaster action in season two with Serena's amazing revelations causing confusion.

Taylor Momsen got dolled up for the season two premiere bash with her character Jenny Humphrey set for more emotional heartache as the Downtown  Soho beauty tries to fit in with the upper echelons of New York society.

Rising TV starlet Jessica Szohr looked very glam for the flashbulbs as she looks to fit in with the wealthy elite in season two. Her character Vanessa Abrams became increasingly influential in the second half of the first series.

Ed Westwick looked every inch the mean and moody Chuck Bass we've come to know and love alongside Leighton Meester. The Brit actor has been busy in the film world too with flicks Son of Rambow and Children of Men.

Blake Lively lapped up all the media attention at the season two launch with her character Serena the heartbeat of the show. After her dramatic entrance back into the Manhattan elite, things promise to heat up even further.

Nicole Fiscella stole a big share of the limelight from her more prominent co-stars ahead of the season two airing in the US and UK. Her sparky character Isabel Coates is set to become integral to some storylines.

Who better to round off the premiere pics than perennial pin-up Chace Crawford. His fun character Nate Archibald got up to all sorts of mischief in the first series and look out for more plot twists as season two sizzles on our screens!
