Timothy Spall stars in a powerful new drama for ITV1, Gunrush.
Set against the rising wave of gun crime in Britain this one-off thriller sees Timothy Spall (Room with a View) play a father driven to taking the law into his own hands after his daughter is shot dead.
He plays Doug Becket, a mild-mannered driving instructor, who lives a very ordinary life in suburban London, until his daughter is murdered while they are shopping in a supermarket.
When the police come up against a wall of silence in their hunt for the killer, Doug sets out to track down the only clue to the murderer’s identity – the gun.
Filmed on location in London, this compelling single drama follows Doug’s journey from amiable father figure to a man seduced by the power of the gun.
