Aaron comes across as a troubled teen with an attitude problem to most people in the village, but deep down he is sensitive and loyal to his family. He is gradually learning to deal with his sexuality and often takes that frustration out on people he cares about.

2008
- Aaron is spotted by Jasmine at Hellraisers, the MacFarlanes’ club
- Aaron is rescued from the MacFarlanes by the Dingles
- Aaron defaces Tom King’s grave to spite Carl
- Aaron is caught trashing Carl’s house
2009
- FAaron stops the runaway van hitting Nicola
- Aaron makes the effort with Paddy as his lodger
- Aaron tries to kiss Adam
2010
- He builds up the nerve to enter a gay bar
- Beats up Paddy out of frustration with his sexuality
- Assaults Jackson in the Woolpack, thinking Jackson was about to out him as gay
- Aaron feels he has no way out and tries to kill himself
- Outs himself as gay in court
- Gets together with Jackson
- Is devastated when Jackson is involved in a horrific car accident and is paralysed from the neck down for life
2011
- Aaron secretly looks at Jackson's video diary and is stunned to hear that Jackson wishes his life would end
- Aaron is livid when Hazel agrees to help Jackson end his life
- When Hazel can't go through with it, Aaron carries out Jackson's final wish
- Cain accompanies Aaron to the police station where he tells them what happened. He is released on bail along with Hazel pending further investigation
- Aaron is charged with murder but is again released on bail
- During the trial, Aaron starts to regret killing Jackson and hopes for punishment
- Aaron is found not guilty but heads down a dark path of self-destruction
- After much persuasion he agrees to see a counsellor for his self-harm
- Aaron launches a vendetta against Charity and Jai believing they were involved in Cain's attack
2012
- Hazel decides to leave the village for a fresh start and asks Aaron to go with her. But he refuses and they bid each other an emotional farewell
- Aaron starts dating Ed
- Takes the blame for Adam's arson attack on the garage.
- Ran away to France with Ed as a fugitive.
