Alicia Gallagher

Alicia, Leyla's feisty sister, landed in the village like a bolt from the blue and has turned Leyla's life upside down. Not long after her arrival it emerged that her little boy Jacob is in fact Leyla's son. Alicia is loud, brash and always dresses to kill, despite the fact that her budget is a modest one. Alicia would never admit it, but the truth is she's always been jealous of Leyla. Life has always seemed that bit more effortless for Leyla, while Alicia knows just how hard she’s had to strive to keep her head above water.

History

2010

• Alicia storms into the village to tell Leyla not to attend their mother's funeral
• Alicia accuses Leyla of having an affair with her husband, Justin
• After splitting from Justin, Alicia shows up on Leyla's doorstep asking for somewhere to stay and it emerges that Jacob, Alicia's son, was actually born to Leyla

2011

• Desperate for some extra cash, Alicia starts stealing from Leyla's shop
• When Leyla accuses Amy of being the thief, Alicia confesses and is thrown out of the house
• Leyla and Alicia make up and she returns to Farrer's
• Alicia and Andy talk about moving to Spain to start a new life but Leyla is anxious that she will never see Jacob
• Alicia is livid when Leyla takes Jacob out for the day without telling anyone and worries that she has told Jacob the truth about who his biological mother is
• When Leyla can no longer cope with the situation, she leaves the village. David is devastated and Alicia has to pick up the pieces
• David makes a drunken pass at Alicia but is quick to apologise
• Alicia is gutted when Andy calls off the move to Spain until they know what's wrong with Sarah
• Andy finishes with Alicia insisting he must focus all his attention on Sarah
• Alicia realises the error of her ways and tells Andy she loves him and wants to support him. They reunite
• Alicia was shocked at Debbie and Andy's plan to have a baby to save poorly Sarah
• Ended her relationship with Andy after discovering he had slept with Debbie.

2012

• Has a spot of romantic rivalry with Rachel as they both develop a bit of a crush on David Metcalfe.

Natalie auditioned on Pop Idol back in 2001 but her group missed out on a place in the final. However she went on to release an album called Return To Me, in 2008
